If you love short stories, be sure to check out the Royal City Literary Arts Society’s Tellers of Short Tales reading series.

The next session is coming up Thursday, Feb. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 417 at the Anvil Centre, 777 Columbia St.

This month’s session features author Trevor Carolan, whose work includes 20 books of non-fiction, poetry, translation, anthologies and interviews. Road Trips: Journeys in the Unspoiled World is a forthcoming book of his travel writing, collecting 24 tales from the more than 50 countries he has visited.

Each evening also offers an open mic, so, if you’re so inclined, you can bring a short story of your own to share. If not, you can just turn out to listen – it’s all free.
