Art lovers, take note of a couple of events happening this weekend.
You can drop in to Queensborough Community Centre on Saturday, Nov. 23 for the opening of the Garden Gals’ new show, Nature - Larger Than Life.
It’s on at the Art in the Atrium gallery at the community centre, 920 Ewen Ave., and the opening reception will run from 1 to 3 p.m. If you can’t make it in this weekend, don’t worry; you can still catch the show any time during community centre opening hours up until Saturday, Jan. 4.
Also on Saturday, Nov. 23, make some time to swing by the Van Dop Gallery (421 Richmond St.) for Spirit of the Season, the gallery’s annual celebration featuring handmade festive treasures and small masterpieces.
