Douglas College is offering up free concerts for music lovers next week.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26, you can enjoy An Evening of Jazz, featuring the Douglas College Dues Band, directed by Jill Townsend, with special guests the Capilano University Jazz Trombone Ensemble, led by Dennis Esson.

On Wednesday, Nov. 27, it’s an evening of winds and percussion with the Douglas College Concert Band Percussion Ensemble and their special guests, the L.A. Matheson Secondary Senior Concert Band, led by Gary Tse.

On Thursday, Nov. 28, the music department is presenting FusionFest, a performance by the music technology program’s Fusion Band and special guests.

On Friday, Dec. 29, you can enjoy a student composition concert, featuring newly composed works by Douglas College music students, directed by Doug Smith.

The concerts are in the Laura C. Muir Performing Arts Theatre, Room N4100 (fourth floor north) at Douglas College, 700 Royal Ave. They begin at 7:30 p.m., and admission is free.
