The man who died in a single-vehicle crash on the Malahat this past weekend has been identified as 44-year-old Ian David Slaco of Victoria.
Slaco, the lone occupant, was headed north about 5 a.m. Saturday when his car lost control and went over an embankment. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate.
