At this rate Brandon Magee is hoping this month never ends.

The 19-year-old Edmonton native recorded a three-point night in the Victoria Royals’ 5-2 win over the Prince George Cougars on Saturday at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. It followed a four-point effort in Friday’s 8-1 victory.

All Magee has managed this month is seven goals and 10 assists in eight games as he takes over the team lead in points with 36.

“Obviously me and my linemates have been playing really well together,” Magee said of Axel Blomqvist and Steven Hodges. “Bloomer and Hodgy have been turning it on here lately, too. As a group we’ve been playing really well and the whole team has been making strides in the right direction.

“I think every guy has been a little more confident with the puck. We’re playing really well, having fun and scoring a lot of goals lately, so we can’t complain.”
