Cook your way through Spain

Relish the delights of Spanish cooking with Flavour of Spain Cultural and Culinary Vacations (www.flavourofspain. net). You'll stay in a renovated old mill and spend your days immersed in the pleasures of Spanish food, wine and the Andalusian lifestyle through cooking sessions and explorations of bustling marketplaces, olive oil mills, wineries and ancient villages.

Vancouverites Hilary and Mike Powell launched Flavour of Spain vacations six years ago. Workshops include the Basically Mediterranean Cooking package, offered from Apr. 22 to 29. Learn the secrets of great Spanish dishes during hands-on cooking sessions and demos in addition to the foodie excursions. The $3,400 price is all inclusive except for airfare and there is a maximum of eight participants.

Couch seats in coach class

A couch in the sky -- in the economy class cabin? Air New Zealand's (airnewzealand. co.nz) new Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft will boast the Skycouch when it is delivered in November. The Skycouch is a Kiwi-designed row of three seats that was created to lie flat all the way to the seat back in front of you. It's a place for kids to play or a flat surface where adults can sleep.

There will be 22 Skycouches in economy class. Pricing will be based on buying two seats at standard prices with the third seat at about half price. The new lie-flat seats will be offered first in April on selected services between Auckland and Los Angeles starting in December.
