America’s most hated athletes

 

Who are the most disliked athletes by Americans? Forbes.com reported on the results of a poll by Nielsen and partner E-Poll Market Research. Here are the top 10, from No. 10 to the top of the pops:

10. KURT BUSCH, NASCAR driver, is disliked by 42 per cent of Americans surveyed.
9. ALEX RODRIGUEZ, New York Yankees third baseman (left, with ex-squeeze Cameron Diaz), is disliked by 44 per cent of Americans surveyed.
8. TERRELL OWENS, former NFL receiver, is disliked by 45 per cent of Americans surveyed.
7. KOBE BRYANT, NBA Los Angeles Lakers guard, is disliked by 45 per cent of Americans surveyed.
6. LeBRON JAMES, Miami Heat forward, is disliked by 48 per cent of Americans surveyed.
5. KRIS HUMPHRIES, New Jersey Nets star (left, with ex-wife Kim Kardashian), is disliked by 50 per cent of Americans surveyed.
4. NDAMUKONG SUH, NFL Detroit Lions defensive lineman, is disliked by 51 per cent of Americans surveyed.
3. PLAXICO BURRESS, NFL New York Jets receiver, is disliked by 56 per cent of Americans surveyed.
2. TIGER WOODS, PGA golfer, is disliked by 60 per cent of Americans surveyed.
1. MICHAEL VICK, NFL Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, is disliked by 60 per cent of Americans surveyed to win the most disliked poll. (Vick wins with more ‘dislike a lot’ responses than Woods.)
