The tall ship Amara Zee, docked in the Inner Harbour, is being set up this week to stage a rock opera.

Caravan Stage Company will perform Nomadic Tempest on board the 90-foot Amara Zee, which is at the foot of Fort Street.

Nomadic Tempest is described as an experimental rock opera, telling the story of a band of monarch butterflies forced to migrate due to climate change.

Audiences will watch from the shore and are being advised to dress for cool weather and to bring low chairs or blankets for seating. Seating is provided but is limited.

Caravan Stage Company is promising “soaring vocals, aerial artisty and large scenic elements backed by spectacular lighting and sound effects.”

Shows are on Sept. 15 to 17 and Sept. 20 to 23, starting at 8:30 p.m., with the site opening at 7:30 p.m.
