OSLO - Three-time Olympic champion Marit Bjoergen has recovered from an irregular heartbeat and should return to the cross-country tracks next month.

The 32-year old skier was briefly hospitalized last week after experiencing an irregular heart rhythm following training. Shortly afterward, Norway's ski federation announced she would not compete in the Tour de Ski in Oberhof, Germany, that starts on Saturday.

Team doctor Dag Lunder told Norwegian news agency NTB on Friday that all the test results for Bjoergen have come back as normal and says she's expected to return to competition at the World Cup event in Liberec, in the Czech Republic, on Jan. 12.
