Bear Mountain Resort and Pacific Links International are now accepting applications for volunteers for the PGA Tour Champions’ Pacific Links Championship, slated for Sept. 19-25 on the Mountain Course.

Organizers are asking applicants, at least 13 years of age, to go to the tournament website at pacificlinkschampionship.com and click the “register here” button on the left side of the screen.

Committee placements will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis, according to a statement released Tuesday, and directors will contact each volunteer and confirm which committee they have been placed in.

“We are thrilled by the strong response we have received since announcing the event early in May,” said Pacific Links chief operating officer Charles Lorimer. “This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many people in the community to get involved with an event of this magnitude.”

The PGA Tour Champions event will include a field of 81 players with a purse of $2.5 million US. According to officials, John Daly and Tom Watson have already confirmed their participation with many more to come.
