Callum Montgomery is again on the list of the top 50 potential professional prospects in the Premier Development League.

The Victoria Highlanders will be looking for their first win, and first goal, of the Premier Development League soccer season Friday night at 6:35 at Centennial Stadium against Lane United from Eugene, Oregon.

The Highlanders began the season with 2-0 and 1-0 losses to the Foothills in Calgary, and a 1-0 loss to Portland Timbers U-23, in Victoria’s home opener last weekend at Centennial Stadium.

Central defender Callum Montgomery of the Highlanders was named this week as one of the top-50 pro prospects in the PDL this season.

Lane United, a team with historic ties to La Liga Spanish clubs and several recruits from there, is 1-1 after a 4-1 victory over the TSS Rovers of Surrey and a 3-1 loss to Seattle Sounders U-23.

The Highlanders also play TSS Rovers in a PDL matinée on Sunday at Centennial Stadium.
