PARIS - French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet has been re-elected for a new four-year term with an overwhelming majority.
Le Graet, who took over from Fernand Duchaussoy in June 2011, secured 83.07 per cent of the votes on Saturday, easily beating rival candidates Francois Ponthieu (13.20 per cent) and Eric Thomas (3.73 per cent).
Le Graet replaced outgoing national team coach Laurent Blanc with Didier Deschamps after the European Championship earlier this year, and he enjoys a closer working relationship with Deschamps than he did with Blanc.
