FRANKFURT - Hoffenheim midfielder Sejad Salihovic will be out for several weeks after damaging cartilage in his right knee in the 0-0 draw with Borussia Moenchengladbach.
The club says Salihovic will have surgery on Tuesday. He left Saturday's match after 35 minutes.
Salihovic is one of Hoffenheim's most important players and his injury is a setback for the club which is currently 16th in the 18-team Bundesliga.
