NELSPRUIT, South Africa - Ghana is still some way from ending a long and frustrating wait for an African Cup of Nations title. Semifinal opponent Burkina Faso is already joyfully celebrating one of its best tournaments.

A vastly different view of what constitutes a successful African Cup follows the teams into Wednesday's match in Nelspruit, when Ghana will be under pressure to keep alive its latest campaign and end a 31-year period of disappointment.

Burkina Faso registered its best performance since hosting in 1998 by simply beating Ethiopia in group play and with that coach Paul Put says "it was already party time in Ouagadougou."

Ghana's only target is overall victory and coach Kwesi Appiah says his players need to be inspired by the chance "to write their names" in history.
