ATHENS, Greece - Defending champion Olympiakos extended its lead to 11 points in the Greek league by beating host Panionios 2-1 on Saturday.
Second-place PAOK travels to Giannena on Monday at the season's halfway point.
Olympiakos dominated, especially the second half, but found the net only once as Panionios players scored in both goals.
Christos Aravidis put Panionios ahead in the 25th minute. Six minutes later, Panayiotis Spyropoulos' misdirected clearance evened the score. Rafik Djebbour got the winner in the 83rd.
Olympiakos forward Costas Mitroglou found the woodwork three times in the second half, with a shot into each post and a header into the crossbar.
Also, Panthrakikos won at Kerkyra 2-0, and OFI Crete beat visiting Asteras by the same score.
