AMSTERDAM - Ajax has surrendered points with a 0-0 draw at FC Utrecht on Sunday, slipping further off the pace in the Dutch league heading into the winter break.

PSV Eindhoven leads by goal difference after thrashing NAC Breda 6-1 on Sunday; it is level on points with FC Twente, which beat AZ Alkmaar 3-0 on Friday.

Ajax is third place, three points behind after its draw at sixth-place Utrecht, which has caused problems for the front-running teams all season.

Ajax's players had four one-on-one confrontations with Utrecht goalkeeper Robbin Ruiter but failed to capitalize.

Feyenoord played late Sunday in Rotterdam against FC Groningen. A win would put it in fourth place, level with Ajax on points but behind on goal difference.
