LONDON - One of the key people behind the smooth running of this year's London Olympics and Paralympics has been appointed to the board of the 2015 Rugby World Cup's organizing committee.
Paul Deighton, who was chief executive of the London organizing committee for the games, will link up again with former LOCOG director of sport Debbie Jevans, now England Rugby 2015's chief executive.
Deighton says Monday "I want to bring the knowledge and experience gleaned from my time with LOCOG to help ensure that the organization, delivery and feelgood factor of the Rugby World Cup in 2015 is right up there with London 2012."
Former England rugby captain Bill Beaumont, who is the current chairman of the Rugby Football Union, has also joined the organizing committee's board.
