Reinhart with three points as the Ice down the Chiefs

SPOKANE, Wash. - Sam Reinhart had two goals and an assist as the Kootenay Ice downed the host Spokane Chiefs 7-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Levi Cable, Tanner Faith, Joey Leach, Erik Benoit and Austin Vetterl also scored for the Ice (11-24-1), who halted a four-game winless streak, while Jaedon Descheneau chipped in with three assists.

Todd Fiddler scored twice for the Chiefs (24-11-1) and Dylan Walchuk added a single goal.

Mackenzie Skapski stopped 39 shots for the win as Eric Williams took the loss after allowing five goals on 20 shots through 40 minutes of action. Garret Hughson came in for the third period and stopped 5-of-7 shots in relief.

Kootenay went 2 for 4 on the power play while Spokane went 1 for 6.
