PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Nick Ritchie and Jonatan Tanus scored on dekes in the shootout and Andrew D'Agostini stopped both shooters he faced to give the Peterborough Petes a 3-2 comeback win over the Belleville Bulls in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.
Derek Mathers and Brett Findlay had tied the game in regulation for Peterborough (14-26-7).
Brady Austin and Jake Cardwell scored in regulation for Belleville (26-13-6) but neither Tyler Graovac nor Brendan Gaunce could connect for the Bulls in the shootout.
Austin had the only goal of the first period at the 5:01 mark. Peterborough controlled the play in the second and outshot Belleville 17-9 but conceded the only goal of the period to Cardwell to trail 2-0 after 40 minutes.
The Petes fired another 18 shots at Charlie Graham in the third and finally managed to beat him. Mathers and Findlay connected two minutes apart just after the midway point of the period to tie it up.
