Koules scores twice, Lanigan makes 38 saves as the Tigers down the Warriors

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Miles Koules scored twice and Cam Lanigan stopped 38 shots as the Medicine Hat Tigers downed the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors 4-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Boston Leier had a goal and an assist for the Tigers (26-26-3), who halted a three-game winless streak, and Tyler Lewington added a single goal.

Sam Fioretti scored the lone goal for the Warriors (18-28-9), who now sit 10 points behind Medicine Hat for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Justin Paulic turned away 27-of-31 shots in a losing cause.

Medicine Hat went 0 for 3 on the power play while Moose Jaw scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
