OTTAWA - Boone Jenner scored twice and Daniel Altshuller made 22 saves Wednesday as the Oshawa Generals shut out the lowly Ottawa 67's 2-0 in the Ontario Hockey League.

The Generals (24-15-3) got all they could handle from the last-place 67's (12-27-3), who made a number of roster moves in recent days involving veteran players, including the trading of star defenceman Cody Ceci, with the future in mind.

Jacob Blair was solid in goal making 32 saves for Ottawa.

"Defensively we were weak until the third period. We gave the puck away quite a bit but we're happy to get the win and get out of here," Generals coach D.J. Smith said, adding his players seemed to have Thursday's trade deadline on their minds. "It will be good the get the deadline over with and get our guys in the room and then get a practice in because those guys looked pretty nervous tonight."

The Generals went 0-for-5 on the power play, while the 67's were 0-for-4.
