LONDON, Ont. - The London Knights set a franchise record on Friday with its 19th consecutive win as they beat the visiting Owen Sound Attack 3-2 in Ontario Hockey League action.
Seth Griffith's scored twice for the Knights (27-5-2), including the winning goal with just four second remaining in the third period, while Bo Horvat had the other.
The Attack (22-8-3), who got their goals from Holden Cook and Daniel Catenacci, have now lost three in a row after previously winning eight of nine.
Jake Patterson stopped 27-of-29 shots for the win as Brandon Hope made 28 saves in a losing cause.
London went 2 for 9 on the power play while Owen Sound went 1 for 7.
The OHL record for consecutive wins is 25, which was set by the 1983-84 Kitchener Rangers.
