Dietz with three points, Makarov 39 saves as the Blades down the Broncos

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Darren Dietz scored twice and added an assist as the Saskatoon Blades downed the host Swift Current Broncos 4-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Josh Nicholls and Collin Valcourt also scored for the Blades (30-21-3), who extended their winning streak to seven games.

Levi Bews scored the lone goal for the Broncos (25-24-5), who fell to 10-14-2 on the road.

Andrey Makarov stopped 39-of-40 shots for the win as Eetu Laurikainen made 33 saves in defeat.

Saskatoon went 1 for 4 on the power play while Swift Current failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
