KITCHENER, Ont. - Justin Bailey scored the winner in the sixth round of the shootout as the Kitchener Rangers downed the visiting Brampton Battalion 4-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Derek Schoenmakers, Tobias Rieder and Brent Pedersen scored in regulation for the Rangers (25-13-6), who have won four of their last five games.
Matt MacLeod scored twice for the Battalion (20-18-8) and Francis Menard added a single goal.
John Gibson made 35 saves for the win as Matej Machovski stopped 32 shots in a losing cause.
Kitchener went 1 for 1 on the power play while Brampton scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
