BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Stephen Nosad and Brandon Devlin both had a goal and an assist for the Peterborough Petes in a 4-3 shootout over the Belleville Bulls on Tuesday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Greg Betzold also scored in regulation for the Petes (10-24-4).
Jordan Subban, Brendan Gaunce and Joseph Cramarossa replied for Belleville (21-11-5).
After a scoreless first period, the two clubs exchanged a flurry of goals in the second.
Betzold found himself untouched deep in the Belleville slot to fire in the game's first goal. The Bulls answered back less than two minutes later on the power-play when Subban's wrist shot eluded Petes netminder Andrew D'Agostini.
Peterborough took advantage of a defensive miscue when Devlin was left alone to convert a cross-ice feed to make it 2-1 at 9:11 of the second period. The Bulls fired back with goals from Gaunce and Cramarossa in a 1:13 span late in the period to take a 3-2 lead.
Nosad tied the game for Peterborough at 7:56 of the third period.
Petes forward Francis Menard scored the only goal in the shootout.
D'Agostini finished the game with 38 saves for Peterborough, while Charlie Graham stopped 36 shots for the Bulls.
