Rodgers fired a final-round 3-under 70 to get by Betz, who finished with an even-par 73 and two-round total of 144. Betz did claim the $2,000 runner-up prize.

Finishing third with a 146 total was Jeff Wiggins of Mountain View, while Jim Goddard of Cordova Bay finished in a three-way tie for fourth after rounds 74 and 73. Olympic View’s Kevin Maxwell finished in seventh place after rounds of 73 and 75, while Bill Kelly of Glacier Greens tied for 12th with rounds of 77 and 75.

Friday’s game starts at 5:30 p.m. at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre, while Saturday’s puck-drop is at 11:15 a.m. at the Memorial Centre.
