VANCOUVER - The final batch of tickets for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver went on sale Saturday.
The Vancouver Organizing Committee said there were more than 100,000 tickets left, including much coveted seats at the gold-medal hockey game and the opening and closing ceremonies. The sale began at 10 a.m. local time Saturday.
Canadians who wanted to buy tickets were told to visit www.vancouver2010.com, but would need to sign into an account. People could also call 1-800-842-5387.
Paralympic tickets for high-demand events such as the opening ceremony, sledge hockey and alpine skiing were also available.
