It’s a bit rich for senior citizens who can afford to visit Scotland to propose free transit fares for themselves so they can go shopping. Seniors already travel free on B.C. Ferries from Monday to Thursday. If they are registered with HandyDart, they can get substantial taxi-fare discounts.
Surely, the citizens who require free fares and discounts are the young people who, starting out, often have low wages and heavy education debts.
