May God bless Ruth Goodman, the Vancouver woman who chose to die at 91 before she became a burden to her family. She showed more courage than the politicians who are afraid to introduce right-to-die legislation.
I had a good friend who was prominent in business and active all his life. At 89, he spent the last two years of his life in a nursing home, wearing diapers and not knowing what day it was. Is that what you want for your parent? Is that what you want for your life?
