When Finance Minister Mike De Jong spoke of the provincial deficit last week, he said there would be no pre-election goodies and no money for a pre-election spending extravaganza.
I am not sure how others see the overwhelming deluge of political ads in the media on a daily, if not an hourly, basis.
Who is paying for these ads, and how much has been and will be spent on this campaign?
All these promises are just that - long-term promises. They could not be implemented until after the next election.
We are being duped by a government that knows it cannot be rebutted as it has shut down the legislature where all can be questioned and debated. Are British Columbians so gullible?
