The Green Party’s Andrew Weaver is emerging as the big loser in the government’s decision to proceed with the Site C project, because he is on record as supporting it, subsequently flipped to opposing it before a project review was completed and now thinks it “fiscally reckless” to proceed.
A gutsy call by Premier John Horgan. He promised a review, had the review done and made the call in the face of several conflicting factors.
There is a world of difference between being in charge and being in opposition. Bottom line: Why spend $4 billion and have nothing to show for it?
