We should consult a higher authority

Re: “Denmark claims waters past North Pole,” Dec. 16. My husband and I recently learned from the news that Denmark is pursuing claim to an area of the ocean surrounding the North Pole where Russia and Canada share full title.

My husband and I recently learned from the news that Denmark is pursuing claim to an area of the ocean surrounding the North Pole where Russia and Canada share full title.

In keeping with the season, we were wondering if anyone thought to consult Santa Claus about ownership of the offshore, territorial waters bordering the North Pole?
