Washington sewage plant attractive and pleasant

I am totally miffed at the reactions to the idea of a sewage-treatment plant at McLoughlin Point. About 16 years ago, a sewage-treatment plant was established on the Columbia River in Vancouver, Wash.

I am totally miffed at the reactions to the idea of a sewage-treatment plant at McLoughlin Point.

About 16 years ago, a sewage-treatment plant was established on the Columbia River in Vancouver, Wash. The plant and the education building were esthetically as good-looking as the building proposal at McLoughlin Point. The education building had a gift shop and conference rooms where meetings were regularly booked. The walking trails around the site connected to the trail to downtown Vancouver, and are regularly used by walkers and cyclists, including commuters.

Not only are luxury homes built in the area, but multi-level condominiums are now built adjacent to the site. The natural landscape around the river site is pleasant, and one would not suspect it is a sewage treatment plant. There is no noticeable smell.

So, tell me why Esquimalt council and citizens do not rise to this opportunity.
