I’m appalled that two professors of law could make such misleading statements as: “Giving the legal profession the power to tell a law school who they can or cannot admit” or that “small groups of students can be denied access to what would be B.C.’s fourth law school.”

The court has done no such thing. All it did was uphold the right of the law society not to accredit a law school that has a discriminatory covenant among its policies.

Students have not been denied access to Trinity Western University, and TWU is perfectly free to open a law school. All it cannot do is promise its students that they will receive degrees recognized by the law society.
