Re: “Suffering of dog is horrifying,” letter, March 9.
I am in complete concurrence with the comments of the reader who expressed horror at the account of what happened to an innocent animal in Duncan, as reported by the Times Colonist on March 8.
Anyone responsible for such unspeakable acts of cruelty must receive the maximum sentence under the law. Civilized society cannot condone these acts under any pretexts whatsoever.
