Smothered with kindness at Royal Jubilee Hospital

I read this newspaper every day and it seems to me that the news about health care is more often than not negative, not offering a bright outlook.

I read this newspaper every day and it seems to me that the news about health care is more often than not negative, not offering a bright outlook.

Having just returned home from a four-day stay at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, I would like to assure the public that the health-care system in our province is very healthy when it really matters. Undergoing emergency surgery is no picnic in the park, but while I was at the RJH, I was smothered with kindness, patience and professional care.

Like Leonard Cohen said: “The sisters of mercy, they are not departed or gone.”
