With all the brouhaha about siting the biosolids plant, has anybody asked what the plant actually entails? You’d think that there would be open pools of rotting human waste sitting around.

With all the brouhaha about siting the biosolids plant, has anybody asked what the plant actually entails? You’d think that there would be open pools of rotting human waste sitting around.

Having been on a very early committee for the siting of this plant, I can say that the technology is actually quite advanced as it is a closed digester that is designed to be a good neighbour wherever it is located. It will produce an end material that is good for the environment or it will simply generate its own fuel.

How about getting information before going off on the typical Victoria NIMBY rant about never changing anything?

Reminds me of the old joke — how many Victorians does it take to change a lightbulb? Answer: 26 — one to change it and 25 to talk about how the old one was so much better.
