Should the region opt to amalgamate, it is interesting to note the Capital Regional District would not exist, and you would think decisions made by a broader city council would at least provide communities like Esquimalt the opportunity to express themselves before decisions were made. Its district representative would be at the council table.
We’re getting to the point where it’s hard to look at any regional issue and not see amalgamation benefits.
