Re: “Sewage plant’s future is murky,” editorial, April 9.

For the sake of scientific reason and environmental stewardship, the Capital Regional District should take advantage of Esquimalt’s zoning denial and just say no to the unreasonable and ill-informed demands of senior governments.

The tax dollars saved from the secondary sewage-treatment folly could then be invested in a rail-based regional transportation system that would reduce carbon-dioxide emissions and actually enhance our shared regional and global environment.
