Re: "MP's pension raises question of parity," Aug. 26.
The writer's criticism of Denise Savoie's pension is surprising to me.
If the annual pension figure he quoted is accurate, it seems very small compared to many we've been reading about and, more importantly, very much deserved.
I don't belong to any political party, but I always voted for Denise based on her dedication to making the world a better place and working so hard in so many areas, but certainly available to anyone. I believe she deserves our appreciation for all she accomplished and our support in choosing to look after herself now, rather than risk her health representing the needs of others.
Her pension hardly seems adequate when all else is considered.
