Kudos to Oak Bay United Church for its revised proposal for an apartment building on Mitchell Street.
It manages to be contemporary while respecting the neighbourhood’s architectural character and human scale. The preservation of the existing mature trees is also highly commendable.
If only all developers emulated their example, the town might yet save its dwindling character that draws tourists and makes us want to live here.
