How provinces love transfer payments with no questions asked! Greece should be so lucky.

The “have” provinces derive most of their income from oil production. The transfer payments based on this income is then used by the “have not” provinces to purchase their oil from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Africa.

Imagine if you owned a grocery store and helped some relatives financially, only to see them shop at convenience stores.

Saskatchewan’s Brad Wall is the longest-serving premier and also Canada’s most popular. Alberta’s Premier Rachel Notley is unproven and unremarkable. Her choice of showboating shows little respect.

Small wonder Prime Minister Stephen Harper avoids these hapless get-togethers where great minds prove that beggars can be choosers.
