I wholeheartedly support the idea of a pipeline from the oilsands to Ontario. Imagine oil-refinery jobs for Canadians resulting from Canadian natural resources.
Why would we export our crude oil? That is a bit like selling raw logs. Canadian jobs and Canadian energy security in the long term mean a lot more to me than does short-term export revenue. I don’t think we should export a single drop of unrefined oil. If our customers don’t like that, they can get their crude oil somewhere else.
I bet that a large majority of Canadians are losing patience with exporting raw materials.
