It is not hard to understand why the B.C. Teachers Federation so soundly rejected Premier Christy Clark’s offer when taken in context. It is difficult to view it as anything but what it is — a not-so-subtle attempt at pre-election grandstanding. If this offer had been made several years ago, the outcome might have been different. It is too late for the Clark government.
