The true test of a person's integrity is what they do when no one is watching.
The auditor general's review of MLA expenses has given the public a glimpse of what really happens in the exclusive club at the legislature. Liberal and NDP MLAs deny knowledge or understanding of what was done, but they accepted what was given to them.
With a general election coming next year, it is essential that voters know how individual MLAs acted. I can't think of anything more fundamental to democracy than the integrity of the people who make the laws that govern us.
The legislature as a whole will not release the details of MLA expenses, so it is the responsibility of individual MLAs to do this.
MLAs who do not release this information should not be re-elected.
