Les Leyne’s piece is political satire of the highest order. It succeeds, as good satire should, in forcing us to ponder important questions. Here, he invites us to reflect on what is really in danger of extinction in politics: civility, integrity and vision. If, as Mr. Leyne suggests, more women than men are now daring to attempt it, then the men-boys on the sidelines have only themselves to blame.
