The real cause of the raging B.C. wildfires was the B.C. government having shut down the effective B.C. Forest Service, to save money.
Before, spotters were hired throughout the province to monitor any small forest flare-up from their towers. They radioed for immediate assistance. Alerted crews extinguished the hot spots before flames spread into a catastrophe.
Spotters were laid off by government to save money. So we have created our own Syrian-style evacuation: by fire instead of war.
This serious crisis is a manmade mistake, not an act of God.
