Make roses and tulips illegal in Oak Bay

Oak Bay has declared deer to be so dangerous as to warrant a cull. Under Section 33 of the B.C. Wildlife Act, it is an offence to leave out attractants that might be accessible to dangerous wildlife.

It follows, then, that the planting of hostas, roses, tulips or any other delicious deer food should be prohibited in the municipality of Oak Bay. Problem solved.

There are hundreds of deer-resistant alternatives out there. It’s much easier to work with nature than against her.
