Lochside more leisurely than Galloping Goose

The editorial has it right. Unpaved, Lochside Trail presents as a leisurely country lane for cyclists, strollers, walkers, runners, horseriders, which is completely different from the paved Galloping Goose trail.

It makes better sense to have a distinct horse lane that horse riders stick to. It is mostly that horses unload on the walking, cycling, strollers’, walkers’ lanes that bothers most of us.

If the weather is inclement enough to produce muddy trails, then one dresses for it or doesn’t go out. Simple as that.
