What are the politicians thinking? Reduce city speeds to 40 km/h? Do they realize that slower speeds mean cars are on the road longer and thus produce more pollutants?
I agree that some residential road speeds should be reduced to 40 km/h for safety, but major streets should remain at 50 km/h and multi-laned road like Blanshard Street should be raised to 60 km/h. Then these speeds should be rigorously enforced.
